The Leeds Jewish Community Pride awards has become an annual event produced by the Pride Award Committee on behalf of the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board to honour members and people who work within of the Leeds Jewish Community. The awards are voted by you, the general public.

The awards honour 11 people who have made a significant impact on the Leeds Jewish Community over the past 12 months. The awards are aimed at honouring unsung heroes who do amazing work for others but who sometimes go unrecognized. This year we have invited 20 community organisations to nominate. The top 3 nominations of each category will be announced by the end of September, and then you all can vote and decide who the category winners are, to be announced at the awards ceremony dinner.

There are two special life time achievement awards together with nine other awards. The Awards will be presented in categories ranging from business and sports to volunteers and community staff members. Winners will be announced at the dinner to be held on 7th December 2011. Tickets for the awards ceremony will be available for up to 250 people, and will be on sale from 7th November 2011. Keep coming back to the website for further information!
